Sightseeing in Russia, Birthplace of the Siberian…
We were thrilled to visit Russia this year, birthplace of the Siberian Forest Cat – the ancient breed that is now believed to be ancestral to all modern long-haired cats.

trip to Russia was taken up with a pile of sight seeing as the place is just massive! If you have never been, we highly recommend it. We hope you enjoy our selection of photos from the trip, and of many course cats were found along the way.

Another special part of the trip was to meet our new Russian Queen, arriving in 2018 and we cannot wait. We thank Ekaterina Chubasova from Moscow of Verresk Line Siberians for allowing her to come to our home in Australia. She is a Black silver mackerel tabby, and her photos are below and you can view the pedigree here

In addition to the travel gallery below, our journey to Kamchatka National Park to visit the bears an we saw so many! There were also stunning shows like the cat circus in Moscow, where the whole place was dedicated to cats. They have so many they it took 15 carers employed to look after them!

 

This first girl was in Moscow while we were there her babies arrived three boys and I wanted a girl… thats the way it goes

On our way to visit our breeders we found a few street cats luckily someone feeds them


Our next visit was to another breeder and here are her two cats this first one is a very young girl and the second one is a stunning girl that graces many publications in Russia

And this owner must have adored her cat…


We found this cemetery with the most amazing sculptures to honour the owner of this dog he was created here accompanying his master
