We were thrilled to visit Russia this year, birthplace of the Siberian Forest Cat – the ancient breed that is now believed to be ancestral to all modern long-haired cats.
trip to Russia was taken up with a pile of sight seeing as the place is just massive! If you have never been, we highly recommend it. We hope you enjoy our selection of photos from the trip, and of many course cats were found along the way.
Another special part of the trip was to meet our new Russian Queen, arriving in 2018 and we cannot wait. We thank Ekaterina Chubasova from Moscow of Verresk Line Siberians for allowing her to come to our home in Australia. She is a Black silver mackerel tabby, and her photos are below and you can view the pedigree here…

In addition to the travel gallery below, our journey to Kamchatka National Park to visit the bears an we saw so many! There were also stunning shows like the cat circus in Moscow, where the whole place was dedicated to cats. They have so many they it took 15 carers employed to look after them!
